Making her debut in 2006 at the Champions Trophy tournament in the Netherlands Rachael Lynch has now become a regular member in the Hockeyroos side. Competing as the number one goalkeeper at both the 2010 World Cup and Commonwealth Games, Rachael was fortunate enough to win a Gold medal with the girls after beating New Zealand in the Commonwealth Games final in Strokes. After the set back of missing the 2012 London Olympics Rachael went on to help the Hockeyroos to Silver at the 2014 World Cup where she was awarded Goal keeper of the tournament then Gold at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games where they won in penalties. 2014 was capped off with a nomination for International Goal keeper of the year. With the Rio Olympics in 2016 Rachael will be giving everything and looking to help lead the team to that dream Olympic Gold medal. As an athlete Rachael is very privileged to have a professional profile that can be put to good use by helping out the community and working with some of Australia’s amazing charities, like Live to Give.
Kimberley Welman is regarded as one of Australia’s most successful and influential ‘mum’ bloggers and works with some of Australia’s most respected brands. Her social media channels boast over 100,000 followers and as a mother to three children within 19 months and a passion for health and well-being, she’s a natural fit as an ambassador for Live to Give. Kimberley assists the team with publicity, behind the scenes operations and often joins us ‘on the ground’ with our projects.‘When I see disadvantaged children going without the basics of shoes, school books or sporting equipment, it really hits home for me as mother. I’m honoured to be an ambassador for an organisation that focuses on giving children equal opportunities, but is just as passionate about restoring their self-dignity and confidence.’
