Shoes 4 Woorabinda
In 2011 I was informed that there were a number of children in the small community of Woorabinda (2 hours west of Rockhampton) that were unable to participate in sport or go on school excursions because they didn’t have shoes. Of course this touched my heart at the time and I knew I had to do something. This was before Adrian and I met, and when charity work was something I did on my own in my garage before and after work. I raised over 100 pairs of shoes thanks to many of the amazing people that still support us today.
I am proud to tell you that now, 5 years later we will be carrying out this project again and delivering the shoes in August/September 2016. Shoes are $10 in Kmart and truly do make such a huge difference in these children’s lives. Today is cold, no doubt we all have a pair of shoes on our feet. No doubt we have all taken those shoes for granted until this very moment.
If you are in the position to help us we would absolutely love your support. Please be part of helping these children to have equal learning opportunities!
If you would like any more details we are happy to help!
